Digitial blog post #E Chapter 4,7, and 9

Using electronic grading software will most likely be used in all schools by the time I become a teacher. These grading systems make it easier and faster for teachers to put in students grades and see there overall grade. Electronic grading systems are beneficial to teachers and students. The teachers are able to manage what percentage they want a lesson, homework, activity, quiz, or test to be. Students are able to see what grade they received. Students are also able to see where they are missing work, where they are either excelling or not doing as well in. This allows the teacher and the student to see where an issue is whether it is homework, quizzes, or tests that a student is doing poorly in and be able to look at the issue and try to solve it. Electronic grading software is also essential to the class and teacher because the teacher is able to see the performance of the entire class. This allows everyone to see how the class is doing as a whole and what areas they are excelling in and what areas they need more work on. There is an argument that electronic grading systems have a tendency to make teachers used to just putting in grades and not evaluating students work. I believe a teacher should always look at students work individually. Knowing your students individually is part of teaching and an electric grading system should not change that.

Below is a little cartoon I made using PowToon.

Students are growing up with technology being used and a apart of the class room. One technology tool that is popular is Kid Pix. Kid Pix is a great tool for any age or grade to use. Kid Pix lets students be creative with what ever they are working on or have to present. Kid Pix lets students be creative while learning what subject they are working on plus getting experience on a computer. Kid Pix is great because anything students have on paper they can use in their Kid Pix. Kid Pix allows students to be unique. There are so many features and different options for students to explore and work with. For example, students can make books, posters, graphs, charts, movies, slideshows, draw, paint, etc. The more students use technology to learn and create work, the more practice they are getting for the future. Kid Pix is beneficial for teachers as well because there is so much teachers can use Kid Pix for. Teachers can use Kid Pix themselves to create something to show there students. Teachers also can assign so many different lessons using Kid Pix. As a future teacher I will definitely have my students experiment with Kid Pix.

Here is a short video on using Kid Pix.

YouTube, one of the most visited websites to watch videos. YouTube seems to be the google search in a video form. If you need to watch how to do something you would just go to YouTube and search what you are looking for. YouTube is widely used in schools today. My teacher for my diversity class used YouTube to show our class educational or inspirational videos all the time. You can find anything on YouTube. This makes it great for teachers and students to explore. There are different categories on YouTube to help narrow down searching. For example, searching under YouTube's educational channel will narrow down your search to educational purposes only. These features on YouTube make it a great source for teachers and students to use for teaching or learning. YouTube also let's teachers or students to upload there own videos. Teachers can use YouTube to show students educational videos or videos they have made themselves and uploaded. Students can do the same to show there teacher or classmates a video they have uploaded. YouTube gives teachers and students many options to be a helpful resource.
